Hello! ![]() Elena Kaye It is with great excitement that we are writing to you to introduce ourselves as the new editors of the Southdown Journal. We look forward to meeting and working with each and everyone of you in the near future, as we begin this joint endeavor with the American Southdown Breeders Association and it’s members. Throughout the years we have done work for several of the leading livestock producers in the country and it has been a wonderful experience, we anticipate this will be no different. As you all will probably have contact with both Elena and I during the publication process, we thought we would share some background with you. Kaye Woolam Weaber has grown up in the purebred livestock industry and has a strong history in promoting purebred cattle through consulting, exhibiting and publicity design. Elena Hovagimian currently serves as the Agricultural and Education/IT coordinator at The Big E and has been actively involved in coordinating the printing of premium books, show programs and publicity material for the fair and various shows. As you know we are in the midst of planning the 2007 Late Spring/Summer Issue of the Southdown Journal. We noticed you are an active breeder and a past advertiser, we were wondering if you are interested placing an ad. We are very excited with the energy surrounding the publication, the committee and the staff have put an extreme amount effort and passion into this project over the past months. With the transition that is currently going on, we felt it was important to share with you the deadlines for the upcoming issue. Keep in mind that these dates are right around the corner: May 1 – Deadline for ads if you require a proof We really want you to be a part of this issue, here are the rates for the upcoming issue: 2 Pages $400 Add Full Color for $200 If ads are presented to us in camera ready format their will be a 15% discount. If you need our camera ready specs, please let us know. We look forward to your ads promoting your new spring lambs, sale consignments, that newly proven stud ram or general farm and flock information. Keep in mind that this is the last issue prior to this summer’s 125th Anniversary Events, which include the National Show and Sale and the National Junior Show at the Big E in West Springfield, MA, July 20-22nd.
